Personnel synchronisation - how employees are linked and exported to Tripletex

Understand how employees are linked between Telaris and Tripletex, and what is actually synchronised.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Introduction

Personnel synchronisation is used to link employees between Telaris and Tripletex.

The synchronisation is one-way, from Telaris to Tripletex.

Tip: Make sure all employees have the correct employee number before setup.

Overview of personnel synchronisation

Employees are linked and exported during initialisation (startup) and when new employees are created.

Matching employees

During initialisation, employees are matched based on:

  • Employee number in Telaris
  • employeeNumber in Tripletex

If a match exists:

  • Employees are linked automatically

If no match exists:

  • Employees are exported to Tripletex

Tip: Employees are created as a user and personnel. Go to Innstillinger - Brukere to create a new user, and upgrade the user to personnel.

Exporting new employees

When a new employee is created in Telaris:

  • If not linked → created automatically in Tripletex

This happens when the employee is saved.

NOTE: Export only happens for employees who are not already linked. NOTE: Employees must be created in Telaris.

Which fields are synchronised

On export, employees are created with:

  • Employee number
  • First name and last name
  • Department (if enabled)

The following fields are not updated continuously:

  • Email
  • Phone
  • Address
  • Employment percentage

These are only used during the initial linking.

Common employee synchronisation errors

If employees are not linked or exported:

  • Employee number is missing
  • Employee number does not match between the systems
  • Initialisation has not been run

NOTE: Changes to existing employees are not updated automatically in Tripletex.
