Consumer pack - Distribution pack

Function in Telaris for handling products that are sold in a different packaging than they are bought (F/D-pak).

  • F-pak is a consumer pack
  • D-pak is a distribution pack, for example a box that is split into several consumer packs.

The solution lets you buy in a packaging (D-pak) and stock and sell consumer packs (F-pak).

F/D-pak products can only be purchased to stock, not directly to an order.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Setup

The F/D-pak function is triggered by setting a number greater than 1 in the "Quantity per unit purchased" field on the catalogue product for the relevant product.

To get to the catalogue product, go in via the product card and click the "Leverandør" line, or go via the catalogue to the catalogue product.

For the example product in the image above, it is an oil that is bought in a 100-litre container packaging.

The cost fields must be updated to reflect the packaging price (D-pak). In the example, set the cost for 1 unit of a 1000-litre container of oil. If you buy a box with x number of contents, the cost fields should have the price for the whole box.

Use - Manual purchase

When purchasing F/D-pak products, only manual purchase to stock can be used.

The purchase is carried out at the D-pak level:

In the example, 1 unit of a 100-litre container of oil is bought at 10000,- per unit. The quantity in the purchase is 1, and "Quantity per unit purchased" (1000 in the example) is also shown and is editable before any goods receipt is created.

Purchase from order

F/D-pak products cannot be purchased directly from an order. They must be purchased to stock and then allocated to order lines.

Guide: Purchasing

Goods receipt and stock

When a goods receipt is created, the properties of the F/D-pak product change so that it becomes F-Pak in the goods receipt:

A completed goods receipt on an F/D-pak product places F-Pak in stock. In the example with 1 unit of a 1000-litre container of oil, this becomes 1000 units in stock.

NOTE: It is currently not possible to reserve F/D-pak products from incoming purchases to an order. Only goods in stock can be "picked" in the order.

Purchase planner

For customers who use the purchase planner in the system, the functionality for F/D-pak products is handled by rounding purchase suggestions up to the nearest whole packaging based on the need in the order.
